FC §290 — General Enforcement Provisions
Type: California Family Code
Summary
Empowers the court to enforce any judgment or order made under the Family Code by execution, appointment of a receiver, contempt, or any other discretionary remedy. The catch-all enforcement statute referenced inside ¶50 of the Stipulated Judgment (uninsured healthcare reimbursement procedure).
When to use
Cite as the foundational enforcement authority whenever invoking the court’s power to enforce any Family Code-based order — particularly in tandem with FC §3027.5 (parenting-time restoration), CCP §1218 (civil contempt), and the §4063 reimbursement procedure under Stipulated Judgment ¶50.
Section text (verbatim)
A judgment or order made or entered pursuant to this code may be enforced by the court by execution, the appointment of a receiver, or contempt, or by any other order as the court in its discretion determines from time to time to be necessary.
